Hi Glenn,

How ya been doing? I've been doing great round this neck of the woods! But I want to tell ya how you lotto ticket trick got me out of a boot in downtown Atlanta.

As you probably know its kinda hard to find parking in the city! It was end of March, I thinking April 1st, but anywho I was doing "doordash" down town Atlanta.

(doing doordash and instacart a.k.a. driving for dollars)

...thats how I find my rundown abandoned houses and drywall business.

"I parked in front of this restaurant to get a order but when I got inside they told me the order wasn't ready for another 5 minutes. Normally I'd cancel and go to the next order (we are timed on these deliveries) but that day I decided to wait for it.

( terrible decision) it took longer than 5 minutes to prepare it. After they prepared the order I grabbed it and went on outside!

Now where I was parked was perfectly LEGAL the shop owner across the street didn't like the store that I was picking up my order from so he had hired a private tow company to work for them.

I guess the restaurant I was at was getting all the business and his customers didn't have anywhere to park. When I got into my truck some guy walks up to me and says "you know that guy booted your tire right?"

I thought he was playing (this is Atlanta) I responded, "for-real?"

I got out my truck locking it after closing my door walked around my truck to the back passenger side and seen the big bright yellow boot on my tire!

I off top was furious and went to my back to grab some tools (cutting saws) thats when the tow guy walked up on me and said " you weren't supposed to park there and go Into THAT (pointing to the restaurant that I picked up my order from) restaurant the owner wanted anyone who parks in these pitcular places to be booted and towed!"

I paused to calm down lil bit before I made my response. Then I answered, "I was doing a "doordash" pick up the app clearly states that we can park anywhere within 15ft of the pickup location as long as it doesn't violate any local and state laws."

I showed where it states that In The doordash app.

He then says "sorry but I'm paid to do a job no matter who it is" once again I had to paused lil longer this time before making my response.

Then I asked how much to get it off now? He says $80 here then When the tow gets here its $180 $100 for the tow truck and $80 to remove the boot! I almost punched him in the throat.

I said gimme a minute

And walked away took a deep breathe and think of how I was gonna come up wit an extra $180 for this boot!

I got to digging in my wallet and found that I had 3 lotto tickets that I completely forgot about so I was like " fuck it here goes nothing."

I got them out and walked back and said " look I was only in there for like 10 minutes this is my job like this is yours I don't have much money but ill give you these and hope for the best for you!"

He looked at me weird and took the tickets as he was looking at them he glanced back at me every now n then. Then tell me to wait here and walks back to his truck ( big Chevy suburban)

I could t see exactly what he did then. Like 5 minutes later he get out and starts to take my boot off!

He said " I understand how it is out here the owner is a duck and he really didn't wanna do this anyways he's doing this for work also!"

After he took it off I said thanks!
